SomaXBT's investigation of Mr. Beast

“Pump and Dump” scheme

At the center of a high-profile scandal was the famous blogger Mr.Beast, who earned more than $12 million from manipulating cryptocurrencies in 2021. His methods? A classic “Pump and Dump” scheme aimed at enriching himself at the expense of subscribers' trust.

As a rule, such schemes are perpetrated by completely off-script people who can only be the face, but not the hands, and certainly not the head of the scheme. I don't think he had any idea what was going on.

🤖 Mechanism of manipulation:

Mr. Beast “strategically invested” in little-known cryptocurrency tokens, actively promoting them through his powerful social platforms. When the value of the tokens skyrocketed, the blogger quickly dumped the assets, realizing huge profits. As a result, many of his subscribers were left at a broken trough, losing their investments after the price collapse.

This case raises questions about the moral responsibility of influencers and the need for strict regulation in the cryptocurrency industry, which, by the way, is being enforced (recall the recent Gotbit arrest).

💰 Income (outlier episodes):

  • SUPER: +9,000,000$ (invested 100,000$)

  • PMON: +1,700,000$ (invested 25,000$)

  • SHOPX: +765,000$ (invested 25,000$)

  • STAK: +1,250,000$ (invested 100,000-150,000$)

👊 Attention question:

"The question for me is why this story is being promoted after 3 years. Clearly the investigation was not done today in 1 day. Why is it popping up under a greening market?"

🐗 To summarize:

Don't trust off-crypto infla on market and investment issues. Most of them are absolutely zero in this direction and just broadcast to the masses what they have been paid to do. The masses personality can be unrealistically large (remember Messi promoting Shields on Solana). What's next, presidents of small countries will start promoting the shields, your bets?
