Gratitude Meditation IX

Daily Meditation #274–11/23/2022

YouDaimonia

At the start of the year, I set out to work more diligently than ever on the book about Eudaimonia. Over the years I’ve gradually fleshed it out, the one thing I felt self-conscious about was that the writing seemed to be grueling slow.

Shortly after, I began writing these daily meditations.

Part of it was to use some of the smaller, less meaty thoughts I had.

But mostly it was to learn how to better articulate the thoughts on Eudaimonia and to learn how to think better, period.

The first month or two were challenging.

But the rest have been as easy as the warm spring breeze.

Today I am most grateful for the 1,000+ of you who follow these.
For the comments and well-wishes from your.
For the fact the words and thoughts on philosophy now pour out of me like a deluge.
That I now can think smoother than ever about Eudaimonia.
And that I am better able to articulate the thoughts!

But perhaps most of all, that in thinking about and writing about it every day, my life and perceptions have improved more than ever.

To have written about Eudaimonia, before, was beneficial.

But now, I think about it and write about it each and every day, helping me to transcend the tragedies of life to a level I wouldn’t’ve thought about just a year ago.

And it’s only just beginning.

Today, gratitude is for the process itself.

Follow for daily philosophical meditations.

These are distillations from my coming book “YouDaimonia: the Ancient Philosophy of Human Flourishing.”
