Background

In my opinion, household labour should not be free, but capitalism has not assigned a monetary value to domestic work. In other words, reproduction does not have direct market value unless we separate household labour from the family and turn it into a specialised housekeeping service. We can see that Japanese housewives have developed home economics to the extreme - I suspect this is because Japan in the Showa era emphasised traditional gender roles where men worked outside and women managed the household. Women could refine (Kaizen) their skills in domestic labour, which includes valuable work such as financial management, bookkeeping, and organisation within the household. In this context, housewives could be considered skilled workers with a high level of expertise. Unfortunately, capitalism does not encourage such non-marketised behaviour, and we can see that even when women perfect these domestic skills, the market does not directly recognise their labour.

Therefore, I wonder if we can find a "third way" for households through DAOs, similar to the values promoted by Optimism - improving capitalism? This is how AndroAO was born. It is a long-term, small-scale experiment pursuing greater equality, mutual aid, the liberation of household labour, and ultimately aiming to transcend the postmodern atomised society. I am starting this experiment using myself as the research subject. Incidentally, this experiment can also onboard some normies IRL onchain, allowing them to encounter DAOs and realise that DAOs and cryptos are not entirely related to money.

Brief Overview

This proposal adopts a bottom-up, progressive approach and action path. Through the process of action, multiple sub-proposals are put forward, discussed, validated, and approved based on actual circumstances. The S0 proposal is ultimately reviewed and retroactively approved through a series of sub-proposal approvals.

In the early stages, positions do not require elections; self-nomination and collective approval will suffice.
