I want to write more. I want to build more. Thus I yap.
I often wonder how many others out there are developing professional careers only knowing “web3” and onchain economies.
I would have been finishing university around now, had I continued through the pandemic. I probably would have a comfy government job here in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. But I couldn’t handle zoom-university, and instead found myself chronically online on Twitter, Reddit and Discord. (I am cringe, but I am free)
Learned and yapped about retail stocks, then crypto, then NFTs and then the blockchain rabbit hole continued. Naturally grew an audience every step of the way. Became a Discord Mod. Ended up leading other Discord Mods. I ended up leading communities beyond just Discord.
Created Ambassadors, an agency to build more communities. Understood communities were more than just Discord. Started building ecosystems from on all of our front line experience. From business development, marketing, events — I wore every corporate hat that you can think of.
Worked with companies like Feature to bring Hollywood and brands to the blockchain.
There I worked to onboard big brands like Netflix, Porsche, Mobil 1. Sold millions in NFT comics, avatars, artworks and other collectibles.
Helped produce trailers, video games and events internationally.
Sans quarter life crisis vibes, I now look forward to figuring out what my own community will be. Via Ambassadors and/or whatever projects come my way.
I’m currently musing from my post-birthday dinner Uber. Thanks for tuning into my ramble, I’ll be yapping here more often.
