1. Open the Course Description Page: Go to Coursera.org and with the search icon, find the course you're interested in. Open the course description page. Ensure the course has a tag {Financial Aid Available}.
2. Find the Financial Aid Section: Look for the section that provides information about financial aid. Click on "Learn more and apply."
3. Fill Out the Application: Complete the application form with information about your educational background, career goals, and financial circumstances. Make sure your application meets the minimum word count (usually 150 words). Tip: You don't want to fill the form like you own a bank, instead you should give the reasons to believe that you cannot afford to pay for the course.
4. Submit Your Application: Once you've filled out the application, submit it for review.
5. Wait for Review: It may take up to 16 days for your application to be reviewed. During this time, avoid starting a free trial for any subscriptions, as it could cancel your financial aid application.
6. Check Your Email or Updates Page: You'll receive an email notifying you of the status of your application. You can also check your Updates page on Coursera for updates.
