Nouns: A Movie

After the success of Prop 195 and the release of the animated short film “Welcome to Nountown” it became clear that the Nounish world had more narratives to tell. We are thrilled to announce that the first of a series of consecutive proposals has passed, allowing Atrium creatives to begin creating the first of multiple story acts that, when pieced together retroactively, will form the first feature-length cinematic content introducing Nouns to the world.

What are Nouns?

Understanding the Nounish ethos goes a long way to understanding the projects and endeavors they pursue. Luckily the community already has an incredible recap to get you caught up. In short, Nouns are weird; Nouns are bold. They are cc0. So they are forever and infinite. They are a headless brand trying to rapidly proliferate what they mean to the world.

What is Atrium?

Atrium is a crypto-native network of independent artists and creators. Not a studio but a meta-collective of incredible people who are representing the top of their craft - storytelling, animating, music, and more. We are building a rapidly growing disruptor for the legacy long-form production model. For us, the ethos of who we are aligned with what the nouns stand for and brought proposal 245 forth.

Prop 245

This prop is a first of its kind. The animated story endeavor we are embarking upon spreads the story creation over milestones as we make it. If the DAO doesn’t like where it’s headed, it can stop funding the proposal at any time. The Nounish Ecosystem, alongside Nouns DAO, already has a critical mass of creating film and content, breaking moulds that are 100 years old. Prop 245 is a step towards the transformation of how we choose to develop Film and TV in the future with Nouns at the forefront.

The Benefits of Nouns: A Movie

Studios often have a particular formula or style that they prefer to stick to when creating movies. Disrupting the studio-focused nature of making cinematic content can lead to a more diverse subset of stories and perspectives being told. Historically smaller production companies and independent filmmakers are more apt to take risks to push the industry forward. This is what we are seeing with Nouns right now.

Smaller production companies and independent content creators often have a more personal connection to the stories they tell. Not only do our creators have a personal connection and passion for this project, they are poised to meet the moment and explore the opportunities that exist here.

Creating completely new extensions of the Nounish IP ⌐◨-◨ that make this effort self-sustainable and contribute directly to the brand value as time passes.

i think nouns media / content should look more like how batman is used - many versions for different audiences, but with the same core character: - comics (source) - gritty movie - animated kids show - regular pg-13 movie
