Accept your parents!

Sunshine filled the whole day.

Bodhilama slept all day today.
He had a dream that he was at a big family birthday party.
Over 70 people were there.
Food served on gigantic banquet tables.
Drinks flowed from fountains into jugs without bottoms.
Table tennis was played together with over 20 people at the same time.

"It was a huge fest."

During this party, he had a very emotional and deep conversation with his father.
He can no longer remember the exact content of the conversation.
What he does remember, however, is the feeling he had during and after the conversation.

"It felt relieving. We cried, both. We were open to each other.
We were able to be ourselves in this conversation.
And what I understood was
that there is so much to just spending time with my parents.
So often I'm busy with myself.
Or I get annoyed with what they do.
But it is about acceptance.
I can't change my parents.
I can't tell them to live a certain way.
But I can just talk to them and try to understand them.
And I have to make the effort.
That gives so much. They are my parents and I love them.
They are great and I will always be happy to be their child."

Bodhilama had some things to process today.
So he went to bed early in tears.

With hugs
