What’s the Point of a Badge?

Badges in Blueprint represent your loyalty, unlock Discord roles, and determine the rewards you earn.

We’ve received a handful of questions from our community recently, asking: “What’s the point of a badge?” and “How will they be used in the future?”

This post aims to answer that clearly.

What Badges Represent

Badges are the core of our loyalty framework.

They serve two purposes:

  1. Social Proof:
Your badge is a public signal. It shows your status, your support, and your level of commitment to Blueprint. Each season, we introduce a new series of badges. You can claim corresponding roles in Discord, and your place on the leaderboard also reflects those badges. They’re a way of showing:
    “Here’s what I’ve done. Here’s what I’ve earned. Here’s where I stand.”

  2. Reward Tiering:
Internally, badges drive how we allocate end-of-season rewards. In Cohort 2, for example, we allocated $35,000 in additional rewards, most of which went to those who earned two out of the three top-tier badges. The more you spend supporting creators, the more XP you earn. The more XP you earn, the higher your chances of receiving additional rewards.

How XP Works

We issue XP to track loyalty across the ecosystem.

For every 0.0001 ETH you spend supporting creators through Blueprint, you earn 10 XP.

XP is the foundation of our tiered reward system and a mechanism for distributing any added incentives at the end of each season.

Why It Matters

Each new cohort or offseason brings new content, new creators, and new collectors.

But the badges tell the longer story.

They show us:

  • Who has supported multiple chapters

  • Who consistently shows up

  • Who is aligned with what we’re building

We use that data to weight distributions.

Badge holders with the highest XP scores often receive the most significant allocations.

This system isn’t random.

We designed it to reward loyalty.

Looking Ahead

As we scale Blueprint, we’ll continue refining how badges and XP evolve.

The future may include more granular role assignments in Discord, badge-gated experiences, exclusive drops, and tighter integrations with our leaderboard.

If you’re wondering whether it’s worth collecting badges or stacking XP—the answer is yes.

Badges are not only a visual signal of your commitment, but also your key to deeper access and better rewards inside the Blueprint ecosystem.
