during builder.fi alpha we kept the app invite-only and rolled it out in batches, to test and iterate fast. we handpicked ~1,000 top builders to test the app and give us real time feedback.
this approach also created an incentive for early users to be highly selective over who they invite, resulting in a platform with reputable angel users, such as Jesse Pollak, Jason Goldberg, Shugo Tsuji, Evgeny Yurtaev, Hadrien Charlanes and others notable builders who play a crucial role in shaping web3 space.

after two months of private experimentation, we are thrilled to announce that builder.fi is now open to everyone. thanks to the support and feedback from our amazing angel users, we have completely redesigned the app to make it more open and permissionless.

ask and answer open questions
one of the new features we have introduced in builder.fi is open questions. unlike in the alpha version, where you had to buy other people's keys to ask them direct questions and reveal all past answers, now you can ask questions to the entire community for free.
you can also browse other people's open questions and share your knowledge and insights with them.
ask anyone on farcaster
builder.fi is built on top of farcaster social graph. this means that you don't even need to be signed up on builder.fi to receive direct questions from existing users. this way, we allow builders to showcase their interest in the knowledge of people who are not on builder.fi yet.
choose how to monetize your knowledge
another new feature we have added in builder.fi is the option to choose how to monetize your knowledge. in the alpha version, you had to launch your key to answer questions. now you can decide whether you want to launch your key or not, and whether you want to gate specific answers or not. now you have full control and flexibility over how you share and value your knowledge.

many of us are motivated to answer questions not by financial incentives, but by the simple enjoyment of sharing knowledge. answering questions allows us to make our voices heard and contribute to a better understanding of our world. this is where reputation plays a crucial role.
we have exciting plans to introduce a reputation system that serves as a reflection of the value you've added to the builder.fi —a continuously expanding marker that cannot be traded or sold.
