Happy Friday!
Earlier this week, we published an in-depth analysis of the recently concluded Climate Solutions grant round operated by Climate Coordination Network on Gitcoin.
Donation and contributor numbers were down from the previous round, but capping the number of projects at 71 meant that projects received more of the matching pool on average (almost twice as much).
One of the things we wanted to look at this time around was the average matching impact of each unique contributor across categories. In other words, in which categories did contributors generate the most matching impact?
Take a look:
What does this mean? That each contributor who donated to, for example, a reforestation project generated $23.25 in matching funds for that project on average. The variance across categories is quite surprising and the reasons for it are not immediately clear.
