When we started Coop Records - we had a goal of bringing great music onchain. What we quickly realized is the best way to get great artists is to prove that crypto can be a new means of getting them paid without asking for the world in return.
Zoom out and we've now had more than 125 artists drop on Coop Records, with major partnerships lined up to roll out over the course of the next few months.
Coop Records as a label has made more than 100 ETH from these ~500 releases, setting a strong precedent for a healthy underlying business model headed into the bull market of 2025.
We're seeing tons of new artists, this week bringing Just a Gent and Montell2099 into the fold for their first records along with our first release from Zed's Dead's label Deadbeats through the new Rova record "Knockin".
Exclusive music is starting to find a home on Coop Records too - with the latest songs from MPH, Babsy and Gentlemens Club all being records that you can't find anywhere else on the internet right now.
