Coop Records Weekly - New music from NOTION, Łaszewo, and tesh

The Midnight Diner is back next Wednesday night.

For those unfamiliar - we started an onchain event series in LA this summer on the first Wednesday of every month featuring Coop Recs artists.

We saw sets from 33 Below, Jigitz, Lyrah and many more at a warehouse we took over, recorded and minted onchain.

We bootstrapped the events through Onchain Summer - with our Summer and Fall passes. If you haven’t already - make sure you pick up a Fall Pass for an airdrop of every set through the end of 2024!

Events are a crucial piece of Coop Records. It’s our main way to convert fans into collectors and have real-time convos with people who could care less about crypto by meeting them where they’re at.

Thats why we’ve been minting so many sets - including Daniel Allan’s Red Rocks debut on Thursday.

Combine that with a new Featured and Search section and the Coop Records site is getting more nimble by the day. However - we still see a huge gap in terms of where we need to be to realistically onboard true music fans at scale. We spent all day Thursday at Farcaster’s Developer Day - chatting with and doing product demos of the most prominent projects coming out of the Farcaster world.

If one thing is clear - Coop Records needs a super polished mobile expect that is extremely easy for anyone new to crypto to get started without spending money with a clear reason to stick around.

We’re going to be debuting this new onboarding flow at the Midnight Diner this week - modeling our registrations very closely after Zora using Privy and Smart Wallets for gasless transactions and claiming your first song for free.

All that goes to say - we’re in a stronger position than ever and really feel the momentum of the market shifting.

The vibes are high, we have a very clear path towards our target user and a very ambitious product roadmap.

So keep your eyes peeled, the fun is just getting started!
