Launched by GCC, the "Buidler Travel Scholarship" has been empowering builders since November last year. In our first edition, we provided 10 free tickets, resulting in 4 winners excelling in DevConnect hackathons and 1 finalist in the ETHGlobal main event. We've also supported builders at ETHDenver and ETHGlobal London, encouraging Chinese-speaking developers to participate in global events.
This time, in collaboration with Mask and ETHPanda, we've upgraded the program, now offering 25 sponsored tickets in total for Asian builders, and 5 among them will be reserved for winners of the πSuper Demo Day! We are committed to empowering those who are building public goods across Asia.

How to Apply?
Grantees need to meet the following criteria:
Applicants must be an active open-source contributor within the Ethereum community, with a particular emphasis on under-funded public goods projects and students from Asian communities.
Fill out the application form and share with us your basic information, past experience/work and why you are applying for this scholarship.
Applicants must be able to communicate in English fluently.
Make sure your passport and visa are valid for a smooth trip.

Selection Criteria
Underfunded open-source contributors, especially students (40% weight)
Public goods-related experience (30% weight)
Participating in hackathons or speaking at events during EDCON (20% weight)
A reasonable and compelling motivation and GCC member recommendation (10% weight)
Previous recipients of the "Buidler Travel Scholarship" within the last six months are ineligible.
We will contact selected applicants by July 14th. Please prepare your travel and visa in advance to ensure a smooth trip. Reimbursement is up to $500 per person based on the actual cost of the airfare provided by receipts.; any costs exceeding this amount should be covered by the applicant.
