What Is Edgeless Network
Edgeless, the first ever crypto ecosystem without application layer fees, is an L2 powered by Arbitrum Nitro and is the leading place for builders and users to create and engage with decentralized applications.
Our vision is to be the go-to ecosystem for users to interact with DeFi applications, play games, and explore the blockchain without having to break the bank through sky-high fees, which is far too common for consumers who just want to use their favorite dApps.
Most ecosystems and applications tax its most active users, and make it difficult for consumers to stay active on-chain. With Edgeless, these taxes go away, creating the first ever fee-free ecosystem for consumers.
What Makes Us Unique
A common question is why a developer would want to build on the Edgeless ecosystem if the developers charge zero fees to their users. Edgeless was purposefully built to enable these kinds of interactions. By using Arbitrum Nitro, Edgeless has the freedom to fully customize its L2 infrastructure and with Eigenlayer Data Availability, to keep gas fees extremely low on the network (less than $0.01 on average). Edgeless is then able to share these sequencer fees with developers so that they get a direct share of the economic value they bring to the network.
In addition to this, Edgeless uses ezETH by Renzo as the baseline liquidity yield bearing asset and a stablecoin created by Stable to give back yield earned on bridged assets to developers who build on the Edgeless Ecosystem. Because we are using ezETH instead of an LST, we are able to also redistribute the additional yield from the LRT to our users. In collaboration with Hyperlane, the first permissionless interoperability protocol, users will be able to easily bridge ETH to Stable's stablecoin at launch.
Lastly, Edgeless leverages a new Oracle that is enshrined on the base layer, called Warlock, to capture the MEV on-chain and give it back to developers and users.
With each of these three innovations, we are able to save users money and also capture the value that other ecosystems keep for themselves and give it back to the developers.
