Over the past couple of months, I’ve been diving into Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). Community building is one of my biggest interests, and in web3, DAOs are setting precedents for how a new generation of communities are shaped and grown.
Based on my personal experiences and conversations with DAO practitioners and contributors, I wrote an article about improving DAO onboarding processes and contribution workflows through the DAO Contribution Funnel, a framework for segmenting the contributor journey into stages to build more engaged communities. You can read it in Tally’s blog here!
This article was published through the Tally Content Guild, a DAO associated with DAO operations platform Tally that facilitates the pitch, publishing, and payment process for articles.
The Content Guild is a really cool example of a decentralized way of approaching content creation. For my article, I submitted an off-chain proposal with my pitch and information to the Content Guild on Tally, and my pitch was voted on and approved. If you look now, you can see my pitch on the Content Guild page!
The media DAO model is becoming more popular with other publications and organizations in web3, and I believe it’s so promising because it’s well aligned with the web3 ethos of transparency, open opportunities, and decentralization. I’m excited to see how this model develops in the future!
