Reflecting on Our First Publication & Future Strategy

Exponential TOM Report

In this session, we achieved a major milestone—our first publication on Mirror is live! This is a key step in our journey to build Exponential TOM’s presence, and it’s just the beginning. Here's a detailed report on what we've accomplished, what we've learned, and where we're headed next.

What We Did:

  • First Mirror Publication: We successfully crafted and uploaded our first blog post on Mirror, showcasing a real-world use case of ChatGPT as a “doctor in your pocket.”

    • We created original visuals to complement the article, including a cartoony image of Exponential TOM interacting with the ChatGPT Doctor.

    • We explored the process of converting our use case into clear, actionable content, reflecting our signature style—vibrant, playful, and futuristic.

What We Learned:

  1. Creating Engaging Visuals: Through our iterative process of designing images, we learned how critical it is to maintain consistency in style. We adjusted multiple designs to ensure they captured the true essence of Exponential TOM—playful, sci-fi, yet human-centered.

    • We explored different representations of Exponential TOM interacting with AI, reinforcing the importance of visuals in storytelling.

  2. Leveraging Web3 Tools:

    • Mirror: We explored how this Web3 blogging platform allows us to host our articles in a decentralized manner. The publication is not just a blog but an NFT-backed, tokenized experience.

    • Paragraph: Our newsletter creation tool allows us to create newsletters and convert them into NFTs, keeping our community engaged while building a tokenized archive of our journey.

    • Bonfire: We discussed using Bonfire to create paywalls and gated content for exclusive, premium experiences. This platform will enable us to reward NFT holders with access to special content, masterclasses, and private discussions.

    • Notion: We’ve started organizing ideas and building databases on Notion. It serves as the mental map of Exponential TOM, where we can visually represent, optimize, and track all future content and projects.

Future Projects We Discussed:

  1. Building a Use Case Database:
We started creating a dedicated space on Notion to track real-world GPT use cases. This will serve as a living database for all future articles, blog posts, and case studies, helping us stay organized and methodical. We’ll also crowdsource ideas from our community, inviting readers to submit their use cases.

  2. Expanding Exclusive Content:
As we gather momentum, we’ll use Bonfire to experiment with NFT-based access to exclusive content. Readers who collect NFTs from our blogs or newsletters will unlock special perks, from behind-the-scenes content to personalized feedback sessions.

  3. Growing Our Newsletter:
The newsletter, created via Paragraph, will continue to serve as the heart of our community communication, documenting our journey in build-in-public style. Every newsletter will reflect key milestones, lessons learned, and upcoming ideas, creating a tokenized record of our progress.

  4. Web3 Ecosystem Synergy:
We explored the potential synergy between Mirror, Paragraph, Bonfire, and Notion:

    • Mirror for blog posts and NFT-backed articles.

    • Paragraph for newsletters and tokenized community engagement.

    • Bonfire for gated content, access control, and rewarding loyal supporters.

    • Notion as the operational hub where everything is organized, tracked, and improved.

Next Steps:

  1. Grow the Use Case Collection:
Continue documenting ChatGPT use cases, exploring different verticals (health, productivity, creativity). This will become a powerful resource, showing how AI impacts various parts of life.

  2. Exclusive Content Strategy:
Develop the first gated content via Bonfire, offering something valuable (like a behind-the-scenes deep dive) to our community. This will set the stage for a membership model based on NFTs.

  3. Iterating and Improving:
As we gather feedback from our readers, we’ll continue refining the content and experimenting with formats, making sure Exponential TOM remains at the cutting edge of tech and community building.

Conclusion:

This session marks a major step forward in building Exponential TOM, setting the stage for more impactful content and community engagement. Our use of Web3 tools—Mirror, Paragraph, Bonfire, and Notion—gives us the foundation to continue building in public, creating value for our readers, and collecting insights for our growing ecosystem.

We’ve only just begun, but with our first publication live, we are excited to continue this journey, explore new ways to improve, and engage with the community as we build the future together!
