Still, when available, those social networks allowed gaming juggernauts like Zynga to emerge. The Farcade is re-introducing those concepts onchain — think Steam meets Zynga. This unlocks:
Seamless Social Interactions: Games on the Farcade (leveraging Farcaster) allow studios to instantly tap into users’ social graphs, enhancing connectivity and engagement. As proof of concept, our company launched an onchain monster training game called Farworld. In just the first three months, we’ve launched the MVP of the game, sold out eight consecutive drops, generated over $500k in revenue, and grown the community to tens of thousands of gamers. The game can be played entirely on Warpcast, and the game mechanics leverage Farcaster's social graphs for native marketing and social gameplay.
We’ve learned a lot over the last 3 months building Farworld, and we are leveraging this to help guide how we build the Farcade and what features are most important.

TEAM & EARLY BACKERS
Farworld was founded by the Blackstock brothers, Bobby and Charlie, who bring over a decade of startup and crypto experience. Bobby previously founded Coinvantage, which was acquired by Kraken. Charlie was the lead engineer on multiple projects at ShapeShift, including the CoinCap app, before ShapeShift transitioned into a DAO. Both brothers have been working professionals in crypto since 2017, with prior experience at gaming studios and building community gaming platforms.
We are thrilled to announce that Farworld raised a pre-seed round of $1.75M. The round was co-led by top-tier investors Lemniscap and Variant Fund, with Base Ecosystem Fund, led by Coinbase Ventures, as our follow-on investor.
