FCNY is thrilled to announce another exciting side event that we are proud to co-host! Our Farcaster community in New York City is growing rapidly, and while we plan to continue holding large 100+ person events, we also want to highlight smaller, community-driven gatherings.
Introducing Onchain Summer Solstice: A Celebration of Digital Creativity
Join us on June 21st for an intimate event highlighting digital creative techniques and artists publishing their work digitally. Come and connect with 50 other members of the community who share a passion for art.
Date: June 21st
Time: Starting at 6 PM
Location: Brooklyn
Event Highlights:
Live Interactive Art Installation: From 6 PM, collaborate with the community to create generative art while enjoying barbecue and refreshments.
Summer Solstice Celebration: At 8:31 PM, as the sun sets, we will kick off the celebration with a stunning projection show.
Farcaster Artists and DJs: We’ll feature talented artists and DJs from Farcaster, with @henry announcing the lineup over the next week.
Surprises: Expect a few exciting surprises that will be revealed only at the event.
A Bit of History: In 1968, the ICA in London hosted Cybernetic Serendipity, an exhibition exploring the relationship between technology and creativity. This groundbreaking event showcased machines that generated patterns, played music, moved, and created movies, sparking a movement of technology-driven creativity. Today, we continue this legacy, surrounded by cybernetic art in various forms. Our event will provide insights into the tools used to create computer-generated art, showcase contributing artists, and delve into the history of cybernetic art.
RSVP Details: To cover the cost of the event, we're asking attendees to mint this generative art piece for just .005 ETH. Your support helps us bring this unique experience to life.
