Latest changes to Frames.sh

Overview

Here are our September 13, 2024 updates:

  • Overhauled app-engine to improve performance and capacity.

  • UI/UX improvements on Desktop & Mobile

  • Deprecations

Overhauled App Engine

The app engine has been overhauled to support more frames and soon composer actions. The new version of the engine provides enhanced performance in processing requests, and with a new approach to rendering we've improved the frame rendering performance with better support for frame elements allowing users to supply their own frame templates through File uploads.

UI/UX Improvements on Desktop & Mobile

Fixes on UI/UX bugs in many areas have been deployed to improve usage. The platform is now fully compatible for mobile, enabling users to edit their applications on the move.

The view editor UX has been improved with less glitch when a user interacts with the elements. Border settings support is now available for users to configure borders on their application view components.

Deprecations

  • Artifacts have been removed, all files involved in an application are now synced and can be managed into one folder "Files" (previously datasets).

  • Datasearch and Visualization have been removed in favour of future implementation that can offer better user experience - our previous implementation for these were clunky.
