Welcome to Paragraph!

I will tell you about the flag of France. The flag of France, also known as the Tricolour, is three vertical stripes of equal width: blue, white and red. The blue stripe is at the shaft, the white stripe is in the centre, and the red stripe is on the outside. The history of the flag of France dates back to the Great French Revolution. These colours were first used in 1789 when the revolutionaries began their fight for freedom and equality. Blue and red represent the city of Paris, and white is the colour of the monarchy, symbolising the union of royalty with the people. Blue represents freedom, white represents equality and red represents fraternity. These three principles became the core values of the French Republic. The flag was officially adopted in 1794 and has been an important symbol of the country ever since. Interesting fact: during the Second World War and in the following years the colours of the flag changed, but in 1976 it was decided to return to lighter shades, which are still used today. The flag of France is known for its simplicity and powerful symbolism, making it one of the most recognisable flags in the world.
