That day I became A better writer

write short, read long and remember that writing is thinking.

I was thinking like you now: NO WAY!

Master writing is a 10-year journey. We can't just end it in 10 minutes. At least we believed so.

But I did make it. I know you can, too.

Actually, It's not my credit. It's from a marketing class days ago. Although, on the Internet, there are much free knowledge and insight about writing.

But we ignore them at all.

Believe it or not, if you can do as the following guide, you will soon become a better writer.

Only 4 tips will help you. To be a better writer in nearly any scenario: marketing, product, management, education…

  1. Keep it as simple as possible you can.

  2. Write small blocks in the beginning.

  3. Organize your ideas together logically.

  4. More drafts, revisions, and reviews make words better.

Examples are more useful than inane talking.

Let me show you how I work with the 4 laws.

I use short sentences & words than longer ones.

On the above, no more than 13 words.

Simply put, if you can't be concise and specific, readers go away.

I know how to write about effective writing years ago. When I just look around, I don't know how to make it.

Until…I write by myself with what I learned.

I learn from Luhmann’s Zettelkasten, writing in short blocks. Like codes, words emerge when ideas are ready. Especially in the beginning, you must write short ones. Easier understood, clearly expressed, effectively trained…

There are more than 3 pros why to write small paragraphs.

When blocks are enough, the system or logic will find you in the right way. Not joking, writing is just like giving birth to a baby. Time matters, practice matters, and patience matters.

Or, you try to organize what you wrote as some kind of logic.

Drag blocks together, reorder the sequence, and rewrite conjunctions.

Practice makes perfect. All good writers write their best after many failing drafts.

But they keep writing on. Just write more, more, and more drafts. And revise them until the content satisfies you, as the first real reader.

Outer feedback is also important. So you may turn to others for reviewing or proofreading.

When constructive ideas update, you mix them into your brain.

Good writers write.

Write to think.

Write to read.

Write to produce better things.

Good luck is from Kongsen.

For your info, I generate these ideas from Scott Adams and make a similar title to "The Day You Became A Better Writer".

He knows deeper and writes better than 80% others in the world.
