Hand Protocol: A Month of Milestones and Gratitude

It’s hard to believe that Hand Protocol has only been up and running for a month, but in this short time, we’ve already achieved incredible milestones. Our vision is simple: empower communities and projects that are making a tangible impact through decentralized, transparent funding. And thanks to your support, we’re already seeing this vision come to life.

The Laboso Caring Foundation initiative: A Major Milestone

One of our first major achievements has been the completion of the latrine project for the Laboso Caring Foundation in Howa Bay, Kenya. This accomplishment is particularly special because we started with zero funding—every donation came in organically, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support from our community on Giveth.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, including Gene Davis, Jose Cabrera, koH, WCC DJINZ, Afolabi Aiyeloja, Ash Ley, and Anonymous supporters. Your generosity turned an immediate impact mission into reality, and the results speak for the power of immediate crypto impact.

TokenSmart Impact Party: Celebrating Projects and Birthdays

In addition to the latrine project, we’ve made other strides that we’re equally proud of. We celebrated these wins during a special Impact Party hosted by Jose on Token Smart Discord. The event was extra meaningful as it was Jose’s birthday, and he chose to dedicate the day to celebrating the amazing impact projects supported by Hand Protocol. From sharing stories about our early successes to outlining the future of our mission, the energy was electric, and the community engagement continues to grow.

Giveth Space: Showcasing Our Early Success

We also took part in an opening showcase on Giveth Space, where we introduced Hand Protocol’s mission and ongoing efforts. Although we’re still in our early stages, the showcase highlighted how we’re already delivering real-world impact, with the Laboso latrine project being the first of many success stories.

IMPORTANT: Giv-a-Palooza Quadratic Fund round ends Sep 24th! So go support our projects if you can as it will make an incredible funding impact.

Early Creative Projects: Lost Children of Benin City Documentary and the Music Onboarding Machine

We’re not just focused on infrastructure projects; we’re also supporting creative and community-building initiatives like Lost Children of Benin City Documentary and the Music Onboarding Machine.

The Lost Children of Benin City (Documentary) delves deep into the harrowing realities of human trafficking in Benic City, Nigeria, specifically focusing on the vulnerable children of Benin City. Through this documentary, we aim to raise awareness about the grave issue of modern-day slavery and the trafficking networks that exploit innocent lives.

The project serves as a vital storytelling tool, bringing attention to one of the most overlooked humanitarian crises, and it's been seeking funding to move forward with production. We had the opportunity to present the trailer and message during Mofo Goats Film3 Space and the Greenpill Network community call. We are ensuring that the powerful message of this documentary reaches global audiences. The goal is to inspire action, build partnerships, and create real-world change for these children.

The Music Onboarding Machine has been a meaningful project, helping connect both local and digital communities through music. It’s especially exciting to see how it has supported the indigenous community from the Venezuelan Amazon, giving them a platform to share their culture and music with a wider audience. Through music, the project is fostering healing, connection, and new opportunities for collaboration.

Launching Our Website: Built for the Future 🌐

Another major milestone is the launch of the Hand Protocol website, designed by Rathod from Bloomers.TV. Having a fully functioning site at such an early stage is an enormous accomplishment. The website provides an easy way for donors, project owners, and supporters to connect with us and learn more about what we’re doing. This early success sets a strong foundation for the future, and we’re excited to continue building from here.

Early Site Build

In just a month, Hand Protocol has gone from inception to making a tangible difference on the ground. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in this early stage—we couldn’t have done it without you. The journey is only beginning, and we’re thrilled to see what we can achieve together as we continue to grow.
