Phase 2 Development Update - Hangry Animals Onslaught

A deep dive into phase 2 of game development for Hangry Animals Onslaught, featuring AI upgrades, level enhancements, soundtracks and more.

We're excited to share an update on phase 2 of the game development of Hangry Animals Onslaught. We've made significant strides in various aspects including level design and player path challenges, Enemy AI, zone design, special features, and much more.

Enemy AI Progress

Our team has been tirelessly working on refining the enemy AI, making each interaction more challenging and unpredictable than the last. The result is a gaming experience that keeps you on your toes and always guessing.

Level 1: Zone 1 & 2 Enhancements

We've enriched zones 1 and 2 of Level 1 with elements that explore and expand the gameplay dynamics. Each zone now boasts unique characteristics that lend a distinct feel while ensuring consistency in the overall game narrative.

Aim, Shoot, Jump & Hover: Special Feature

In our quest to make Hangry Animals Onslaught more thrilling, we've introduced 'Jump with Hover' as a special feature. This function allows players to not only navigate their surroundings but also strategize their attacks better with special booster boots.

Particle Systems & Alien Spacecraft Design

We're in the process of adding particle systems to enhance visual effects. Concurrently, our design team is hard at work creating some fascinating alien spacecraft designs. These additions will undoubtedly add that extra bit of magic to the gaming experience.

Soundtrack & Art

In keeping with our philosophy of celebrating creativity, we're incorporating a home-grown hip hop and grime soundtrack from local artists. To further enrich the visual experience, we're sprinkling art from respected graffiti artists across the globe throughout the game levels with in game purchase capabilities to collect 1 of 1 pieces from our collaborations.

Player AI Development

Upcoming Player Progression System We're also thrilled to reveal that the Hangry Animals Onslaught will feature a substantial player progression system. This is set to bring in an additional layer of depth and strategy as players will be able to unlock new abilities, power-ups, and even hidden game elements based on their performance. Not only will this amplify the sense of achievement, but it will also allow for unique gameplay each time as players navigate through the myriad of possibilities thrown open by the progression system. Alongside this, we're gearing up to incorporate onchain events into the spawning and level of difficulty for each enemy our players encounter. This also yields a number of opportunities to earn tokens by defating these special encountered aliens throughout each level.

Showcase

In the build up to the NOLA conference in October, we're working hard to ensure a playable level with choice of up to 4 characters to play Level 1. This is a vertical slice of our overall plan and will provide us with the insight required from young gamers to iterate and improve the player experience. If you're on the US shores and near New Orleans, come drop by the Digital Economy Conference happening between 1st and 4th October.

Community

As always, we're looking for supporters as we build out an ecosystem for growth and earning opportunities for our members. We have our $FOOD social token distributing social proof rewards for interacting with our posts and content on socials. We believe this is one of many strategies that can bring true support for what we're building and will continue to add value into the token over the coming year.

With our social strategy evolving and ramping up to reach our key target audiences of tweens and kidults alike, we're onboarding more team members who have the domain knowledge to accelerate our growth. Ceri Angel will be joining our team as both a social media content creator, strategist and project co-ordinator. This will allow our artist Andrew Minton and our game developers to focus on delivering the goods and make great product for our next adventure.
