As we usher in the Q3 of 2024, we are excited to announce a renewed focus and a slew of product launches. Our latest comic has been released digitally with print copies planning to be available for our avid readers end of June. On top of that, work on our game continues to progress steadily with sneak peeks being revealed on our Discord weekly. Don't forget to join to stay in the loop with much hangryness!

Game development continues in earnest as the guys put together the next stage of props, items, interactions and pickups. Developing a good game with unique features takes a long time and we are conscious not to bolt too early and equally make a dudd product. We're determined to rally the troops and ensure the experience is worthwhile. New team members have started work on weapon designs for the unique Cobbinator 3000 which fires out.. well Corn on the Cob pieces init. Also in design stage is a vacuum cleaner weapon which sucks the aliens our of existence Ghostbustrs style! The Alien laser rifle pickup as well as some cool soda bomb grenades have already been integrated in game and tested. We're keen to make the game accessible, challenging but fun, so limiting projectiles to food items and lasers to keep the younger audience appeal from parents and guardians. There will likely be a degen setting at some point i'm sure, where Otis or Zebrina or any of the crew get a bit too Hangry and end up in full blown Hulk mode with special item pickups! Would be fun for sure.

Hangry Animals is seeking to develop a 26 x 22 min animated series for streaming services and broadcasters

The most thrilling news of all is about our successful bid for a £25k grant we have been offered to start development of animated content. We're now in the early stages of planning & developing the script, character building and storyboard for the trailer in Q3 and Q4. Social announcements coming soon, so be sure to support and share the good news and vibes with us when it drops. The animation will be both in Welsh and English language. This development is to cater to an undeserved audience in UK & Wales where content for tweens/teens is too safe and has a familiarity we wish to avoid by facing challenging topics head on using humour and sci fi comedy to tackle subjects such as neurodiversity, gender, social media bullying, environmental concerns as well as global citizenship and self discovery with confidence.

While 2023 might have felt flat for most, we knuckled down and got sh*t done behind the scenes. It was bursts of productivity alongside on boarding collaborators to the cause. Rest assured Q3/4 2024 promises to be full of surprises and announcements that community members, CHET and Crate holders can look forward to!

We continue to conduct our CHET Choosdays with the crew from Community of Communities on X Spaces. It's our chance to have a weekly check in with everyone and showcase what the team has been building behind the scenes, so do look out for our Spaces links starting at 10pm GMT every Tuesday.
