This week in the Hangryverse
We are thrilled to share some exciting updates on our upcoming mega space and an alpha news release to be announced on the night. We believe that these developments will shape the future of digital interactions and revolutionize how we perceive digital products, virtual experiences and entertainment for the masses in web2/3 for years to come.
It’s been a great week of spaces for Hangry once again, with CHET Choosdays, CoC Friday spaces and OBSWorld Spaces with awesome gaming ecosystems sharing the love for development strategies in web2/3 from across the globe. One area that has caught our attention is the use of cross chain blockchain gaming solutions. Blockchain technology provides a foundation for creating decentralized applications (Dapps), which have the potential to transform the gaming industries approach to asset and game ownership. The possibilities are endless with concepts such as true ownership of in-game assets, provable scarcity of rare items, and the ability for gamers to be real stakeholders in their gaming worlds whilst building their own creator economy to boot, something we’re very excited about here at Hangry HQ. We have some exciting developments on this front in the very near future! But for now, we build out our vertical slice in earnest with a team of dedicated devs and level designers hand picked for the task… the Hangryness is strong with them.
In line with this, we're excited to have connected with both SphereOne and CryptoDo on no code Dapps. SphereOne provides a cross chain fiat on-ramp and crypto to crypto payments solution for gaming ecosystems to allow players to focus on the gaming experience rather then buying economy token from from the off, this venture aims at simplifying the development process, making it accessible to more people and fostering a new generation of game developers who see the grand vision of web2 to web3 onboarding being a more seamless experience. Credit Cards, Debit Cards and Crypto payment solutions is the holy grail of onramping new players into our gaming/entertainment ecosystem, as well as wallet abstraction for email based social logins, we’re excited about where these solutions can take Hangry Animals in the near future. CryptoDo have built no code solutions for creators for smart contracts as well as dapps for the easiest setup out there. We look forward to continuing further conversations with these flourishing businesses in the near future.
Mega Space pre-sale announcement
On the 16th of March 2024, we’re finally unleashing the Hangry hounds, we’re dropping a slice of the Hangry collection in a phased approach. Alongside CHET and Crate pass holders who can mint a Hangry for free (Not got your CHET pass yet?? Sheesh, there’s still time), we will be releasing a limited amount of Hangry NFTs on the night for everyone to enjoy. Our aim is 2222 NFTs in a pre-sale with the Chet holders and Crate holder allocations to be claimed first. This leaves less than 1000 left for folks to mint and we’ll be pushing this out on socials in anticipation for a fantastic evening of games, guests and giveaways for all to get involved.

Our strategy for mint has changed in line with the industries sentiment for big collections. We’re determined to mint 50% of the collection in public sales, with the remaining 50% (5 different species to our heroes) are only available through gameplay and engagement rewards of the Hangry Animals PvE game release as well as competitions throughout the year.
In the trenches
Meanwhile back at base camp, progress continues on the CHET 3D model design and build. Our team has been working around the clock to refine the designs and ensure that every detail aligns perfectly with our vision for this transformative character you will come to love and admire. We can't wait to unveil what we've been working on! The blue phoenix back tattoo looks super dope.
The game design style and level population of cool assets has continued over the last few weeks. The dev team have been hard at work on both the main blockout as well as a tricky transition to Spatial for game testing in readiness for holders to play and provide feedback. It’s important to us that the level be engaging and rewarding at the same time, and there’s a fine balance to be struck in doing so, before we integrate the web3 in game aspects of play.

Finally, we would like to extend an invitation to an Ask Me Anything (AMA) with The Community of Communities crew in session at 10pm UTC this coming Tuesday during our CHET Choosday spaces. We have also aligned ourselves with several gaming analytics for wallets ecosystems lately that the devs are experimenting with. Wallet insights and transactional volumes on games across all chains, brings some very interesting metrics to validate our thinking, watch this space for more developments on that side.
