Since the rebrand to UncleHODL, I’ve been thinking about how to build around the core of our community... the ones who’ve stuck with us through the chaos. When I announced the change, it was a slow burn, and while a few noticed, most just kept doing their thing. That’s alright; my focus now is on the ones here, showing up every day.
We’ve got a dedicated crew of gamers and traders, knee-deep in the Solana trenches, flipping memes and pulling profits when they can. Not only that, they shared their strategies for all to test themselves, I see you frens, much respect. I’ve even dipped my toes in myself, though I already knew from past cycles that the rollercoaster of shitcoin trading isn’t for me. The quick green can flip to red faster than you can blink. Watching some of you succeed makes me proud, but with that pride comes a word of caution.
On Trenchrot and the Bigger Picture
When the gains start to dry up, and the grind gets real, that’s when what I like to call trenchrot can creep in. I’ve seen it before, and I’d bet some of you have, too: the burnout, the endless refreshes, and the sense of getting lost in the chase. Don’t get me wrong—making plays in the trenches is part of the game. But if I can offer one piece of uncle wisdom, it’s this: don’t let the hunger for quick gains cloud your view of the long game.
But its not just about the burnout... its also about destroying your ability to see the future, and you desire to help build it. For those of you still pulling wins, think about stashing a little of that profit aside, either in the original play or in something a bit more solid, like ETH or SOL. A small reserve goes a long way toward keeping your footing steady, so you’re not left scrambling in the next bear wave.
Our Call to HODL: Building for More Than Just Today
Trading is a part of this life, no question. But a community like ours can be about more than just flipping tokens. Let’s be real: we’re here to HODL. Not just tokens, but a vision—a vision of something we’re building together that’s got legs to last.
So here’s where I’m at: how can we take this group, this vibe, and make it something that stands the test of time? I’m calling on each of you to think about what the HODLHQ community should look like down the line. How can we make this space a source of value, even when the market cools off?
This is our Call to HODL. Let’s figure out where we go from here, not just in the trenches but as a group, with our sights set on something bigger. You’re the ones who’ll make it happen, and I’ll always be here, uncle style, to support the journey.
