Today, we are proud to launch the next phase of our Alpha Testnet Incentivized Campaign: Light Node Quest. This phase is one of the most crucial parts of our testnet.
Light nodes let you verify data and interact with Nubit directly, without relying on centralized services. As more light nodes join, Nubit becomes more secure and scalable.
Now the light node is ready for production, and we invite everyone to join our network. Running a light node means being at the forefront of the Nubit journey. We’re calling on you to build a secure and scalable future with us!
Over the past three weeks, our community has grown by 240,000 new members, thanks to your incredible support and enthusiasm.

How to Get Started
1. Log in to the Alpha Testnet Campaign
Click “Connect Wallet” to log in with your Keplr Wallet. If you don’t have the Keplr Wallet extension installed, please visit https://www.keplr.app/ to install it.
2. Check Your Points and Tasks
Scroll down to view your points and tasks. Phase 1: Community Assemble and Phase 2: Light Node Quest are available.
For instructions on completing Phase 1, please refer to our previous tutorial. This guide will focus on Phase 2: Light Node Quest.
Note that Phase 1 and Phase 2 tasks are independent, meaning you can complete Phase 2 tasks regardless of your Phase 1 progress.
3. Run a Nubit Light Node
If you are using macOS/Linux, open a bash terminal. If you are using Windows, open WSL. You can start a Nubit Light Node with just one command:

4. Save Your Nubit Light Node Pubkey
When you first start the Nubit Light Node, it will generate a Nubit pubkey. After running the command, this pubkey will appear in the terminal.
This pubkey is your credential for running the light node. DO NOT share it with others!
5. Complete Your Light Node Quest
Once the light node is successfully started, you can take a short break for about 15 minutes before returning to complete the task and claim your points.
After the break, go back to the Nubit Alpha Testnet Campaign. Copy and paste your Nubit light node pubkey into the provided field and click the “Verify” button.
6. Claim Your Points
If your Nubit light node pubkey passes verification, you will receive 3000 points immediately.
If you successfully run the light node but see an “Invalid Nubit light node pubkey” message during verification, please wait about 15 minutes after starting the light node before trying to verify. If this issue persists, join our Discord for help.

Phase 2: Light Node Quest only lasts for one month, so don’t miss your chance to participate. Phase 3: Testnet Adventure will follow closely, offering more rewarding tasks and deeper insights into Nubit and our mission for Bitcoin and multi-chain ecosystems.
