Pour pallier ces problèmes nous proposons "Fagaru" une plateforme qui permet de centraliser le dossier médical de chaque individu sur une base de données décentralisée et sécurisée grâce à la blockchain. Dès la naissance, un dossier est créé avec l'empreinte digitale du patient et est mis à jour tout au long de sa vie. Cela assure que chaque professionnel de santé autorisé puisse accéder, de manière sécurisée, à l'historique médical complet du patient, peu importe l'endroit où il se trouve. De plus, en cas d'accident ou de décès, l'empreinte digitale du patient permet d'identifier rapidement le corps, facilitant ainsi l'accès à son dossier médical pour des mesures appropriées.

La blockchain est au cœur de Fagaru pour garantir la sécurité et la transparence des données médicales. Grâce à la blockchain, chaque modification d’un dossier est enregistrée de manière immuable, ce qui protège l’intégrité des informations. Faced with the current challenges of health data management—fragmented records, lengthy processing times, and risks of loss—Fagaru offers a secure blockchain solution that ensures the traceability of medical follow-up.

Discover Fagaru, a project developed by Abdou Karim Sow, Louis Sebastien Makack, Moussa Ali Mchangama, Ismaila Diallo, and Magatte Dione during the Blockchain in DKR hackathon held at DER in Senegal on October 3rd and 4th, 2024, co-organized with Kucibok and our partners CoinEx and Yellow Card.

Solution and benefits

To address these issues, we propose "Fagaru," a platform that centralizes each individual's medical record on a decentralized and secure database using blockchain technology. From birth, a record is created with the patient's fingerprint and is updated throughout their life. This ensures that every authorized healthcare professional can securely access the patient's complete medical history, regardless of their location. Additionally, in case of an accident or death, the patient's fingerprint allows for rapid identification of the body, facilitating access to their medical record for appropriate measures.

Relevance of blockchain

Blockchain is at the heart of Fagaru to ensure the security and transparency of medical data. Thanks to blockchain, each modification to a record is immutably recorded, protecting the integrity of the information. This means that the data is tamper-proof and accessible only to authorized professionals, while being shared transparently among stakeholders.
