💎 Gem of the day
Brise Soleil by Jorge Ledezma
Inspired by humans’ fascination with the sun, this long-form generative art collection integrates 'brise soleil'—a modernist architectural technique—to filter sunlight. When set to real-time mode, the art's shadows morph throughout the day, inviting viewers to reflect on the dynamic interplay between light and design.

Minting Is the Native Business Model for Web3 (and maybe AI too) by Fred Wilson
This article explores "minting" as a new business model for Web3 and potentially AI. It discusses how current models use our data for targeted advertising but suggests that Web3 offers a different approach where users can "mint" or financially support creators by buying a small part of their work, like on Zora. This way, users build their own data sets, which they own. The author - Fred Wilson - envisions a future where we use open-source AI models on our personal collections, empowering content creators and consumers.
Fred Wilson is a well-known venture capitalist and co-founder of Union Square Ventures, a New York-based venture capital firm. He has been active in technology for several decades and is recognized for his early investments in successful startups like Twitter, Tumblr, and Etsy.
🔥 Product to Watch
Farcaster Frames
Continuing my interest in one of the products I've enjoyed over recent months, Farcaster, a decentralized social protocol, has launched Frames. It’s essentially mini apps on the social network feed.
Why is this exciting? It opens the door for a wide range of use cases powered by blockchain actions. Examples:
Ability to subscribe to a newsletter with a click
Creating generative art (via chatgpt or custom code).
Simple games, although someone set up the game Doom as a frame…
It was released on Friday, and plenty of experimentation is on the way. I think this sort of openness and secure interaction is what makes a decentralized social protocol exciting. I can’t recommend Farcaster enough if you are curious about blockchain and crypto.
You can sign up for Farcaster here and read more about Farcaster Frames here.
