The first time I saw one of Tim’s (Aka MaxwellInked) pieces, I thought it was done 100% digitally. Little did I know he draws them using ink and paper with incredible precision. Sometimes, he digitally alters some of his NFTs to include specific effects.

How did Tim Maxwell discover NFTs?
Nate Hill told me about them in November of 2020. I thought it sounded like a desperate way to make money.
It seems Nate convinced Tim to mint on hic et nunc, as his first work dates back to June 2021. His black-and-white style took the whole NFT art ecosystem by surprise, and he quickly became one of the best-selling artists in this blockchain.

Who are your favorite NFT artists, and why?
This list changes from week to week.
If asked last week, I’d say xcopy and Pak.
If asked now, I’d say Sarah Zucker and Jen Stark. I respect all OG’s in different and integral ways, but it seems the latter has an intellectually honest sometimes unflinchingly humorous way of approaching their work within the blockchain.
They also seem very self-aware as not a formula but as a means to innovate as opposed to profit and please. But, the former can easily fit this, I question it more than being convinced by it.

Let me know if you would like me to mention anything like a project, NFT, collection, etc.
Sure. But, I’m still weighing whether it is a project that innovates the blockchain as a medium or profits from it where innovation becomes blurry with intent.
