Spending 19 hours on a plane? We got you! ✈️ 😀

Gm,

We know many of you are in the midst of starting your epic journeys to Singapore for Token2049 and Breakpoint. If you’ll be in Singapore next week, keep an eye out for our founders Eleni and Shane. If you want to learn more about Loop and meet with them IRL, drop me a note on telegram, and I’ll get you connected.

In the meantime, while you’re spending countless hours on an airplane, check out Eleni’s latest piece on the history of card networks. While the Bank of America charge card had some early success in 1958, the missing piece that would allow it to scale was the communication layer (i.e., Visa). Once banks, merchants, and customers were all using the same communication layer that identified the context around the payments being made, card networks could scale and hit escape velocity.

Once again, safe travels!. If you are staying put (like me 😞) and want to set up your Loop account to start accepting payments, let’s talk. We’ll have you up and running in minutes. You may still have FOMO from missing the conference, but at least, you’ll avoid the FOMO from potentially missing a sale because you didn’t have crypto payments enabled. 😉

Have a great weekend!

Best,

Jeff
