Archetype Usage
Overall archetype usage
Cuckoo Koi is the big one in this Mystic Era. Fury Aggro, Earwing Wing Horn are there as usual with Summon Heal being the main new addition at the top of the meta in the Mystic Era. Jinx, Cocoon Heal, Bleed AoE can also be found at 2300+. At 2200-2300 VStar, we can see Sleep Poison and all sorts of archetypes, some of which are not defined in any of the categories (e.g. Counter Stance with Beech and/or Koi).
Archetype Win Rates and Matchups
Overall Archetype Win Rates
Summon Heal and Cuckoo Koi are the best performing archetypes at the top. Snake Jar Turnip is certainly dropping down as Aggro teams are so much faster in Mystic Era. A new archetype that should be mentioned is Fear, which is doing quite well at 2200-2300 VStar, suggesting that there is some potential there.
Archetype Matchups
Cocoon Heal actually has many good matchups, e.g. against Cuckoo Koi, but it is not the best against Fury Aggro and Earwing Wing Horn, which are very popular. Cuckoo Koi is enjoy this meta as long as there are not too many Cocoon Heal around. Again, note that this data is for 1900+ VStar, which does not represent matchup data from the best teams of each archetype. Check out Additional Data below for that.
Conclusion
Mystic Era is always one that is fun to see with the most possibility for innovations. There are quite a number of teams that are not categorised (yet) which are viable at top 1000. I would not be surprised there could be more innovations moving forward now that Meta Morph makes it possible to get optimal Axies for particular strategies. Let's see anything new will come up in the coming 2 weeks.
