Axie Infinity: Origins Meta Report - Season 11 Late Rare Era (2 Dec 2024)

Archetype Usage, Win Rates, and Matchups

tldr:

  • Over 100k players already in Season 11

  • Snake Jar Turnip, Triple Owl, Bubble Aggro, and Topaz (with Turnip) at the top

  • Sponge, Earwing Wing Horn, Confused, and Shield near the top

Player Base Statistics

      Rank # Players Rankings
Challenger 313 1-313
    Dragon 2073 314-2386
     Tiger 8816 2387-11202
      Bear 4754 11203-15956
      Wolf 5080 15957-21036
      Boar 14659 21037-35695
      Hare 41799 35696-77494
     Chick 18689 77495-96183
       Egg 8827 96184-105010

Already over 100k players in Axie Origins for Season 11 and we are still in the Rare Era. It is interesting to see that HAre has the most players instead of Egg and Chick, quite a lot of players are continuing with the game to progress to Hare. Another significant peak is Tiger, which indicates the "serious" players. There are more over 10k players at Tiger and above.

Archetype Usage

Overall archetype usage

Only 1 player is at 2100+ at the time of writing and yes, it is Snake Jar Turnip again for the Rare Era. It is the 4th most popular archetype at 1500+ but it is looking like the best archetype at the top.

There are also Triple Owl, Bubble Aggro, and Topaz (with Turnip) above 2000 VStar. Sponge, Earwing Wing Horn, Confused, and Shield are also up there near the top of Challenger. Sleep Poison, Jinx, and Fury Aggro are common at lower ranked but not at the highest level.

Archetype Win Rates and Matchups

Overall Archetype Win Rates

Triple Owl, Snake Jar Turnip, and Topaz are doing well at the very top. Bubble Aggro is finiding it slightly harder at the top based on the win rates. Sleep Poison and Poison are getting pushed down with 42-43% win rate at their respective tops.

Archetype Matchups

The overall matchup spread seems pretty nice. Even the top archetypes have counters. The overall win rate at a particular VStar particular will depends on the archetype distribution. If Earwing Wing Horn and Sleep Poison are still the most popular, Snake Jar Turnip will probably be one of the archetypes based on the matchups.

Conclusion

I think most of us cannot wait until Epic Era arrives. With the ability to upgrade Rare Runes to Epic, there will be more options and perhaps enable more ways to play different archetypes. Who knows, maybe we will even see some new archetypes.
