Today marks a major milestone for the $BUILD community. After several months distributing tokens to onchain builders and their supporters, we’re taking the final step to ensure $BUILD becomes a true Public Good—fully decentralized, with no treasury or gatekeepers.
What’s Happening?
1. Airdrop of 163B $BUILD to 40K+ Community Members
All 40K+ community members who committed tokens in the two previous airdrop rounds will receive 85B $BUILD this Sunday (up to 10M each). Check all airdrop transactions here.
Full committers receive 2x their total commitment for both rounds.
Half committers receive back their total commitment from both rounds.
For the 2.4K builders receiving more than 10M $BUILD, the remainder will vest linearly over 10 months via Sablier (Feb 1 – Nov 30, 2025). Check below the Top 100 BUILD Supporters.
Example: If I committed 100% of my 5M $BUILD airdrop allocation in Round 1 and 50% of my 20M allocation in Round 2, I will receive a total of 20M (2 × 5M + 0.5 × 20M). Since my total airdrop allocation is 20M, I will receive 10M today, with the remaining 10M vested over 10 months.
Note: The airdrop was sent to the same wallet you used to commit/claim the tokens of previous airdrops onchain. For some users this might have been their Farcaster custody address.
2. No Treasury, No Gatekeepers—100% Community-Owned
We’re adding 16 ETH of liquidity on Uniswap (first swapping ETH for BUILD to create the ETH/BUILD pair) and burning the position NFT.
We’re burning the remaining 380B $BUILD left in the treasury. Check all details on Dune.
From now on, $BUILD is fully in the hands of the community, including our new open-source brand, built with FLOC.
3. $BUILD is the Easiest Way to Support Onchain Builders
Buy $BUILD to support 100K+ holders—most of whom are verified builders.
Hold $BUILD to appear in the Top Builder Supporters leaderboard.
Use $BUILD to fund builder bounties and support new onchain builders.
Example: I just posted one bounty to build an Universal Builder Income (UBI) smart contract.
