I would use a 1 ETH Grant for Stage 1 of a 3 Stage project culminating in a Public Goods Guide Book on " Rewards and Compensation for DAOs and Web3 Native organizations".
This would be a DAOPunk X RnDAO Co-Branding opportunity to collaborate and participate in the Early Funding stage of a very interesting and topical Public Goods Research Project, stemming from the following project in RnDAO (research and development dao) to create a Public Goods Book for DAOs and Web3 Organizations.

I am applying for this grant as the Biz Dev Lead for this particular RnDAO Research Project. There is One Researcher involved from RnDAO, "Gaia Dadabit" and myself on this team. RnDAO desires assistance with marketing of this public goods project which I feel we can provide with the DAOPunk Media Brand.
⅔ rds of this grant will go towards Gaia Dadabit for research and ⅓ of the grant will go to myself to create the media content for RnDAO and DAOPunks.
While I started my DAOPunk journey over a decade ago working with decentralized cooperatives and joined my first DAO 5 years ago, now I am at a Stage on my DAOPunk Journey where I am learning how to build consensus and collaborate on Public Good Projects. This would be my first public good project and my first official Biz Dev Project that revolves around a Dao-2-Dao Branding Agreement.
Because I excel at working for non profit generating projects I don't see this grant as a way to assist in my transition to web3, but definitely this grant will allow me to create some media content for DAOPunks and it will help fund in-depth research into a problem that every web3 project is struggling with. Therefore this research will not just help me transition. but all workers in web3. The bodhisattva way.
While I may not be much of a CorpRat anymore, living the way I do as a web3 native, ramen-noodle-eating-nomad, and contributing member of a vanlife dao, I am still very much stuck in the rat race with little long term security, completely dependent on the volatility of the market.
While I am known as an educator and onboarder in the space, who can break down complex crypto ideas into simple explanations, and I have been creating NFTs for more than 2 years, I do not have a reputation as a serious buidler. Nor am I someone you think of for long term projects that can provide financial security or add to the public goods space that the Ethereum Community loves so much. This project could change that.
I can't think of a better topic of research —and research is my passion — that is more relevant to our lives in the web3 space than Rewards and Compensation; no one has much of a clue in most of the 200 Discord servers I am in. RnDAO publishes stellar research and I have no doubt that if a simple guide can be funded and created, finding interest to further develop the guide into a Book Level Publication and resource would be of great value to many of us in the space. This seed grant will get us through that first stage and DAOPunks will get great content over the next 6 months, or more, for its socials and community.
The Full Time DAOPunks Channel has always been where I have tried to contribute what I can to other Discord members. I feel this project is a natural extension of a topic I have consistently shown interest in.
Web3 is about collaboration. Communities and Businesses that want to exist in a world of hyper-trustless collaboration are all struggling with understanding how to reward and incentivise contributions when the profit margin is not the first priority of the organization. For-Benefit organizations are adopting web3 technology to find innovative, trustless, and autonomous ways to reward voluntary and contractual work.
There is an aspect of this project that, on the macro level, will set the foundation of known and future research into rewards and compensation in the web3 space. This is the purely public goods angle. That being said, and I being the Biz Dev Lead for the project, I do have permission to engage into a Branding Agreement with the Grant Provider for this research. This could be of great value to the DAOPunk Brand.
What is more punk than being known for assisting in cutting edge human research in the web3 space? DAOPunks have the mission to “...help aspiring DAOpunk members transition away from the CorpRAT world and onboard them into Web3…”. What can be more helpful than participating in the foundational research and education on the topic of Rewards and Compensations.

TLDR: RnDAO researcher, Gaia Dadabit, is great at what they do: research. They have agreed to this Initial Research Skeleton and laid out the specs as a project in RnDAO. It just needs funding. This project is for Stage 1 of 3.
Gaia Dadabit agrees to use these funds raised in the Early Funding Stage to write the skeleton of the guidebook (approx ten pages in 14 font sizes) on Gitbook and park it so for this year They commit to:

This would be a yearlong project.
