KUALA LUMPUR, August 1 — Malaysia has officially stepped foot into the Web3 blockchain industry with the conclusion of Malaysia Blockchain Week (MYBW) in partnership with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), also supported by Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and Malaysia Venture Capital Management Bhd (MAVCAP).

In bringing together major players from all over the world and locally in an effort to further educate and explore the adoption of blockchain technology in Malaysia, major panel discussions and more than 20 keynote speakers and over 30 panels opened the curtain on key topics such as regulatory issues, the decentralised finance & syariah digital economy, blockchain traceability, NFTs & Web3 Gaming, and the impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the Malaysian landscape.
Over 3,000 enthusiastic Malaysians and international guests crowded the halls of Malaysian landmark World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), seamlessly stepping into the digital playground set up by Lydian Labs. The self-made webapp, a helpful digital guide to the event, doubles as an engagement tool that embraces the culture and technology of the blockchain industry
