GM everyone !
3 years ago I got a shoutout from pak in a tweet.
It gave much much needed exposure (as it did for my beautiful friend and joker @SHL0MS), and I'm forever grateful to them for this.
Today, I do the same and share the 5 artists I think will make blockchain art interesting in the next months (besides me ofc 😁)
Bushi
If you loved my artworks from late 2020 you'll love Bushi.
Like me, they like to tinker with the medium and break a few rules, here's one of their most interesting works which literally crashes Opensea when it's displayed:
Fun fact: it also crashed Warpcast, like the whole app
FelixFelixFelix
I remember sitting next to Felix when he launched Cypherdudes and the mint page didn't work. Nobody was able to mint, can you imagine the stress ?
Yet 8 months later, the 2048 editions project is minted out ! And secondary is going crazy.
Why ?
Well Felix is not just a talented illustrator, he's also a BAAM (Blockchain As A Medium) believer.
As such, not only are Cypherdudes 100% onchain, they also contain a tool to communicate and store encrypted messages.
Haiku
Still Remember is my favorite haiku piece, and the one I'll use to present them.
It's so poetic (pun intended), a perfect metaphor of human memories fading away. Using the Blockchain As A Medium (sounds familiar).
If you don't follow haiku, you're gonna miss a lot of interesting stuff in the future I'm sure. Your loss 😋
Shiroi
Also known as 0xfff, another great artist (somewhat of a recurring subject in this email don't you think ?)
You know these apps that let you track phones with a GPS and visualize it's path ?
-> Now imagine you could do this with an NFT.
-> Now Imagine that NFT could travel through different blockchains.
Do I need to justify further why Shiroi is on this list ? What an amazing artwork.
0xG
My brother from another mother G.
Selling an artwork for 300 ETH seems far-fetched for most. Not for G.
The buyer of this work needed to pay 300 ETH (but they would get the money back in the same transaction).
Every artist in this list shares a common trait. Ambition.
Ambition leads to uniqueness, which leads to beauty.
I'm grateful I have been given such a stage, and even more today,
to share the future of art with you.
The following part of the newsletter is exclusively for subscribers, they get to see the tweets I bookmarked this week !
What do you think of this format (featuring 5 artists/collectors/platforms you should keep an eye on), should I do more ?
See you next week ✌
