We are launching the network newsletter which will share updates about Network’s progress and also highlight developments from the industry as a whole. In other words, by reading this newsletter you will learn about what Network is doing and also understand what is going on in the broader world of neural interface technology. As this is our first newsletter and we have been working on Network since 2020, we are going to share some foundational updates first.
Foundation
Whitepaper: We recommend reading our whitepaper that outlines the path toward realizing a world in which neural interfaces will power dreams as a cryptographically secured medium. They would exist as smart contracts in a brain computer network in which those dreams are powered by neural interfaces. The use cases will be extraordinary powerful, from applications to heal ourselves to finding freedom. The whitepaper is painting the destination, yet we have to keep in mind that the industry is very young and we need to stay flexible to be able to realize our vision.

Defining our mission: We are accelerating the advent of neural interface powered dreams. In follow our mission, we are working on multiple pillars that will get us there. One is building a neuroscience market with novel incentive mechanisms. Another is building tools for individuals to free themselves from infinite mental loops and develop new patterns that allow them to dream with new eyes. Essentially because the industry is so young, we are exploring various avenues in order to maximize our success in the future.
Funding: We have not raised any outside capital and have relied on Link Daniel’s funding thus far. This has allowed us to innovate on structures that would be difficult to sustain if we had taking outside funding from the beginning. We are now actively working to secure additional funding sources that will keep our mission and principles in tact while making operations more sustainable.
Entities: We have created Network Foundation, which is our non-profit organization that helps with operational issues regarding the launch of the network protocol and market. Its mission is to ensure the longevity of the network. We have also created an LLC in 2020 in the state of Wyoming with Network Limited as this will allow us to create a legally binding decentralized autonomous organization. Wyoming is one of the best states for DAOs. We also incorporated Network Inc in November 2021 to have an operational company for all the different vehicles and create a for-profit entity to bootstrap the network and build products and services on top of the network.
Announcements
New websites: We launched our next version of the Network website. We are live at network.fund. We may not be an investment fund, but we are building a neuroscience market to collectively fund neuroscience research and ideas through novel incentive mechanisms in order to accelerate the industry and get us closer to a future where we can build dreams as a technology powered by neural interfaces. The Network Foundation website is also live, although more basic and serves as a directory to all network things.
Startup with Chainlink: We are excited to announce that Network was chosen to be part of Chainlink’s inaugural Startup With Chainlink program. We look forward to learning from the world-class team at Chainlink and accelerate our growth into the world of brain computers and neural interfaces.
Network Forum: We will post any transactions that go through the network protocol and / or market on our official forum to invite others to share feedback and discuss ongoing matters concerning those transactions.
Network Research: We are sharing industry related research through our network research forum.
Network Community: We are all over the world and on the web you can find us on Twitter, Discord, Reddit and Telegram.
State of the Network: We are going to do regular calls to get the community together and start coordinating on projects and problems that need to be solved. The first call will be on June 21st at 5pm UTC. We will do these on a regular basis.

Ecosystem
We are going to share highlights from our industry in every newsletter as well. As this is the first newsletter, we are going to share the last updates which may be a bit older from some of the major players. As we are not going to be able to share all updates, we will just highlight some of the more recent updates. To get you started we will also give you some foundational reading:

Neuralink On Track For Human Trials: Elon Musk shared a few updates this year, including that the company is still on track for human trials some time soon. His team is working to make the brain implant safe and is also in communication with the FDA.

Kernel Flow Goes Mainstream: Kernel’s non-invasive brain computer interface was released recently. In December 2021, Kernel CTO, Dr. Ryan Field gave a presentation at IEEE Brain. It has since then announced partnerships with other companies that leverage Kernel Flow technology.

DARPA’s Next-Generation Nonsurgical Neurotechnology Program: This is by now old news but because its DARPA and our first newsletter, we want to emphasize how important it is that DARPA which funded the internet is funding the BCI industry.

We have recently released the Network Tracker, which we will use as a list to post problems that need to be solved to grow the network. You can find it on the Network Foundation website. Keep an eye on new listings. As we begin to raise more capital, we will also post jobs. This is just the beginning and there will be many more opportunities to come.
