Verify a website with a TXT record

NF.TD uses TXT records to prove ownership of a domain/website.

Step 1) Find your DNS settings

  1. Log into your domain registrar (the place where you purchased your domain), or where your domain is currently hosted.

  2. Find the DNS settings for the domain you’re verifying (sometimes this is called DNS settings, DNS records, Zone records, or something similar).

Step 2) Add your TXT record

  1. Copy the code that was provided by NF.TD during the verification process for this domain/website.

  2. In the DNS settings for this domain, create a new TXT record with the following information:

    1. Type or Record Type: select "TXT" or "TXT Record"

    2. Alias, Host, or Host Name: enter @ or simply leave blank

    3. Value, Answer, or Points to: paste the code that you copied earlier

    4. Save or confirm

Step 3) Save verification

  1. Go back to NF.TD and click “save” for this link.

  2. Pending verifications will display a gray checkmark. Only approved verifications will receive a verified checkmark on your profile.

  3. We will check periodically for verification of the TXT record (this may take up to 48 hours). You can check the status of your TXT update by using Google's tool here: https://toolbox.googleapps.com/apps/dig/#TXT/
