Hi, and welcome to issue 21 of NFT Matrix, where I review NFT Artists’ work. There is no presumption or judgement here, only exposure. The artist I am reviewing is When Giants Meet (WGMeets). Engaging and textured is how I would describe their work. I look at a couple of the artist’s pieces from their various platforms/social media and provide my review. Hope you enjoy, I’m always open to feedback.
Piece: “Crutchfield’s Day Off”
The colors of this piece speak to a synth-future where mesmerizing advertisements are placed on holograms, which catch your eye as you fly through a multi-level massive city. This piece reminds me of a picture that you find on your phone which you didn’t mean to take, but somehow did. But from the future.
Piece: “Nolan’s Tendering”
This feels like a psychedelic world where the ground is indeed lava (or desert). A world where the sky is a shimmering mirage of blue, blacks, whites. The textures and flows, combined with the neon colors keep the eye wandering and complement each other well.
Piece: “La Revuelta”
This piece is of this world and highlights the artists’ eye for color and contrast. I like just looking at this picture. Although most likely taken on a beach, the picture speaks to an ocean with tension below the surface, and depths and darkness hard to fathom from the viewer’s perch.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this brief introduction to the artist! Find their links here.
See you next time! I’ve been finding it hard to write these every week, but will aim for once to twice a month.
