NFT Matrix #23

Hi, and welcome to issue 23 of NFT Matrix, where I review NFT Artists’ work. There is no presumption or judgement here, only exposure. The artist I am reviewing is Bruno Bamma. Epic and Dali-esque is how I would describe their work. I look at a couple of the artist’s pieces from their various platforms/social media and provide my review. Hope you enjoy, I’m always open to feedback.

So much to unpack with one piece. It’s interesting how the man made structures seem to be negative things in this piece. The sky appears to be the key and home to a higher plane of existence. The skyscrapers have a wasp resting close by - maybe it’s dangerous and folly to try and fly? Either way, I love the mix of bright and muted colors and the contrast between artificial rigidity and organic sky. I wish I could see this as a 15 foot masterpiece in a museum somewhere.

Piece: “Holographic Fantasy”

This piece has mesmerizing color tones. The pyramid looks solid but appears to be made of clouds, and the sand is a kaleidoscope of shifting colors. “Not all who wander are lost” - the guide is probably the most confident wanderer in this group of apparent tourists.

I love the Dali inspiration here. The desert is a natural place for meditation on the age of reality and the universe. The idea of seeing shapes in the desert isn’t far fetched in the killing grounds of Organ National Monument. The shapes hint at perception and reality being fallible (‘faces in trees’).

Well, I hope you enjoyed this brief introduction to the artist! Find their links here.

See you next time! I’ve been finding it hard to write these every week, so I’ve been aiming for once a month.
