Hi, and welcome to the newest issue of NFT Matrix, where I present NFT Artists’ work. There is no presumption or judgement here, only exposure. The artist I am presenting is moataz. Impressive and captivataing is how I would describe their work. I look at a couple of the artist’s pieces from their various platforms and provide my feelings and thoughts. Hope you enjoy, I’m always open to feedback.
Piece: “Mythical Sands” Link
Artist: “PHARAONIC, emerges as the cornerstone of the "Mythical Sands" album, transporting listeners to the heart of ancient Egypt's mystique. Crafted within the Hujaz Kar musical maqam, this track embodies the very essence of a bygone era. A seamless blend of the harp's celestial tones, the Rababa's resonant new Egyptian harp notes, the flute's ethereal whispers, and the Mezmar's haunting timbre creates an auditory tapestry that mirrors the grandeur of Pharaohs' courts. Set against the rhythmic backdrop of the "Timpani Orchestra," the track mirrors the regal cadence of an ancient procession, infusing every beat with historical significance. PHARAONIC not only pays homage to the musical treasures of ancient Egypt but also unlocks the timeless connection between music and cultural expression in that era. This track magnificently resonates with the opulent symphonies that once adorned temples and palaces, offering a window into the past while forging a melodic bridge to the digital age.”
NFTMatrix: This piece was energetic, excellent, and drew me in immediately out of all the musical pieces I encountered on moataz’s sound.xyz. He also has some cool videos here which show clips of the recording process.
Piece: “ZOOZ (Original) #1/10” Link
Artist: “Colors are known to have light waves and vibrations that can change the frequencies of living cells. The unconscious realizes its power and ability to gain control instead of the conscious. It does this by using its face consisting of 22 layers of color and begins to move towards liberation from its dark prison. After 13 seconds, it breaks free from the darkness and emerges in control of the outside world, where it can listen to and enjoy Oriental music for the first time.
NFTs pose the question: What if Wo.Shosh (which are the inner-faces of the unconscious), take control instead of the conscious?
The unconscious felt a sense of control in the darkness. The color black boosted its self-confidence and gave it strength, so when an opportunity arose, it didn't hesitate to take advantage of it. The unconscious can store all of life's experiences, beliefs, memories, and skills. As Earl Nightingale once said, "Everything that plants in the unconscious and nurtures with repetition and emotions will eventually become a reality." This is exactly what happened, and that's the power of the unconscious that helped it succeed in breaking free from its darkness.
According to numerology, the number 22 represents the ability to pursue dreams with confidence and determination. The number 13 symbolizes change and renewal, as well as leadership and spiritual growth. So, the climax of Wo.Shosh collaboration occurs at the 13th second. Finally, the number 19 indicates that it may be time to take risks and step out of the comfort zone, so fade out in the 19th second, followed by a denouement until the 20th second.
Sigmund Freud once said, "The unconscious is uncontrollable."
So, what if Wo.Shosh of the unconscious take the lead?”
NFTMatrix: These are well thought out pieces, illustrated by a collaborator, and with music composed by moataz. The music peaks just like the artist’s description, and the image of 3-D paint zooming out is very captivating and interesting.
Piece: “Farha” Link
Artist: “FARHA, the third gem nestled within the "Mythical Sands" album, casts a radiant spell, channeling jubilation and optimism through every resonant note. This composition emerges as a sonic tapestry meticulously woven by the melodic threads of Oud and Violin. However, what sets FARHA apart is the audacious innovation with which the Qanun is employed. A groundbreaking departure from its traditional role, the Qanun is plucked and strummed, as if it were a Guitar, ushering in a symphony of chords hitherto unexplored. This track finds its rhythm in the Songo pattern, infusing each note with an infectious groove that beckons the heart to dance. Rooted in the Nahawand Maqam, renowned for its emotional resonance, FARHA is an embodiment of joy, tenderness, and boundless optimism. It weaves a tapestry of emotion, capturing moments of elation and the pure essence of heartfelt happiness. As the Qanun gracefully steps into a new role, "FARHA" becomes a harmonious testament to the uncharted territories that music can explore, crafting a jubilant melody that resonates deeply with the human spirit.”
NFT Matrix: A romantic musical piece. I am impressed with this collection.
