Hi, and welcome to issue 8 of NFT Matrix, where I review NFT Artists’ work. There is no presumption or judgement here, only exposure. The artist I am reviewing is the Tayodamnshoes (“tie-yo”) from Texas. Bright and powerful is how I would characterize their work. I look at a couple of the artist’s pieces from their various platforms/social media and provide my review. Hope you enjoy, I’m always open to feedback.
Piece: “ENERGY EXCHANGE”

View the piece on Opensea for it’s full effect! The colors of the piece are fun and vibrant. The concept reminds me of how it’s easy to send energy to negative or positive parts of ourselves, or to expend energy with friends and enemies. Every thing we do is an energy exchange - and we don’t necessarily need to be ruthlessly efficient with how we do it, but it’s probably great to be aware of how we expend our energy.
Piece: “Divine as F***”

There’s a lot going on in this piece. The vibe is tongue-in-cheek, but also deadly serious. I think the thing which sticks out the most to me is the emphasis on spirituality and being receptive. There is also the arresting clash of a traditional religious figure like a nun, and the middle finger. There is also contrast between western and eastern iconography. The number in the background could be ‘12’, referring to numerology where 12 signals creativity.

This piece is cool and relaxing - I think it would look great in a coffee shop. Bowled could be a reference to the dishes or something else (*wink *wink).
