Immovable Stone

A Letter

Dear Meister Kortan,

I have had a breakthrough regarding our previous discussion and I could cannot wait to share my thoughts with you. The immovable stone is just the tip of the iceberg!!! Maybe that does not make sense yet, but let me explain.

You see, as I made my way on expedition to the Frosted Lands I was forced, or perhaps blessed, to take a detour by ship through the Sea of Posteia. As we navigated the ship through the floating fields of ice, the captain commented that the ice we could see was only a small fraction. According to Captain Lesvoish, more than 90 percent of the ice in an iceberg lies below the surface.

And then it stuck me, the immovable stones must be the same! The reason they are so difficult to move must be because the vast majority of their mass is hidden under the surface of our world. The small stone we see may only be a 10th or a 100th of the total stone, with the rest of it laying in a different world all together. Maybe in multiple worlds! As you no doubt realize, the implications are enormous.

Unfortunately I cannot begin any experiments while on expedition, but I hope that you will already procure the necessary materials so that we can begin testing this theory on my return.

Sincerely,

Aurelia
