Highlights of 2024
The Great Farcaster Migration & Rounds
This year Nouns embraced Farcaster, but apart from just migration, Nouns also contributed to its growth by funding the creation of 3 new Farcaster clients (unfortunately, only nounspace is still operational today), turning /nouns into one of the largest channels AND rewarding casters via Rounds.wtf!
Rounds.wtf is a great piece of tech made by seneca (and others) that makes it extremely easy to reward casters. It was born from the ashes of Prop House (which we've had to say goodbye to this year) and it's already helped distribute over 1 MILLION dollars in rewards!

Nouns Fest & Nouns Town
Not only did the community get together on Farcaster, this year people also gathered in LA to attend the Nouns Fest at The United Theater on Broadway! The event showcased over 50 animated short films (after receiving over 400 submissions) and received positive coverage from Animation Magazine, OpenSea and more. You can watch all of the shorts on YouTube.
nouns felt like it changed this week. it’s somehow bigger, better, more vibrant and connected than it’s ever been. such a pleasure to meet everyone, and very excited to keep bending the trajectory of this space with you all

Benjamin Latsko hosted the Nouns Town event with lots of activities in the days leading up to, and after the Nouns Fest. These included live painting and other creative workshops, live concerts, the premiers of Nogglers - Mavericks of Time, new episode of The Rise of Blus, Sunny in Nicaragua, Benbodhi Decoded and a visit to Bob Burnquist's Dreamland (there's a 4h long stream recording from Dreamland on YouTube)!
DUNA
Nouns decided to switch from having a Cayman Islands Foundation to a brand new type of legal entity - a DUNA (Wyoming Decentralized Unincorporated Nonprofit Association). You can read the reasons behind this shift in the proposal.

Nouns School in Uganda
Nouns funded the transformation of Ndurumo Primary School in Kiyanga, Uganda into a modern Nounish School. Even thought the construction got a little delayed, the pictures and videos Davin shared look great!

Nouns For Privacy
Great news for privacy - US Treasury's actions against Tornado Cash have been deemed unlawful by the court! Nouns donated 40 ETH (Prop 493 & 502) towards Tornado devs' legal defense back in January of this year and thus played a small part in this big victory.
Privacy wins. Today the Fifth Circuit held that @USTreasury’s sanctions against Tornado Cash smart contracts are unlawful. This is a historic win for crypto and all who cares about defending liberty. @coinbase is proud to have helped lead this important challenge. 1/6
Nouns on Google Maps
As Proposal 100 (back in 2022) foretold, Noggles made it onto Google Maps! You can find them close to the Michigan Stadium at 327 E Hoover Ave, Ann Arbor.
Shark, Pickle, Cone
The team behind the Nouns documentary titled Shark, Pickle, Cone finally released the movie!
.@StoopidBuddy just released their Nouns doc in its entirety on X. definitely worth a watch if you’re curious about the project or want to see a thoughtful and unique portrayal of the crypto space on film
Nouns x Variety
After the success of last year's Christmas party, Variety came back with more proposals - first they took Nouns to the Australian outbacks in the Variety Bash, which earned Nouns a spot on the cover of The Guardian & then they repeated last year's success in Nouns x Variety Kids Xmas Party 2.0!

Nouns Beyond Screens
WNX and NeroOne opened up an amazing IRL hub in Kuala Lumpur as part of their Nouns Beyond Screens project & they produced tons of amazing stuff both digital and physical!
Nouns Esports
Nouns Esports and the teams under their wings had a wonderful year. The most notable accomplishment would probably be the Dota 2 team's qualification for The International 2024 in Copenhagen, where the team placed in the 9-12th spot after loosing against last year's runner-up GG. Still an amazing outcome for an underdog!

Not only did Nouns Esports sign multiple full teams, a #1 Super Smash Bros player Cody and streamers, it also attracted Launders, one of the most famous Counter-Strike casters (who recently ran a Nouns-sponsored event in Toronto) and partnered with brands such as Matcha.xyz and Adidas!
Quack, Lola & The Rise of Blus
One of the biggest success stories in Nouns this year has definitely been the rocket rise of Quack & Lola! Created by Atrium, these cute ducklings won the hearts of millions worldwide. Their Instagram account currently has over 2 million followers, and their most popular short received over 9 million likes! They collaborated with multiple famous brands, such as Duolingo, Genshin Impact, and Erene, the creator of Book of Nouns!
As if that wasn't enough from The Atrium, they also released new episodes of The Rise of Blus this year (EP3 live on Youtube, EP4 still behind an NFT paywall) and earned a few awards like the Best Series award at the 17th Animator International Short Film Competition! Watch all the episodes here.
Nounish
Nounish decided to change up the style of their content and it seems to be paying off! Their series "3 Artists" are "Share a Canvas" racked up hundreds of thousands of views!
Moreover, Goldy's GIFs passed 1 BILLION views on Giphy!
Nouns x Ledger
Nouns collaborated with Ledger and created an awesome & fun community- designed product! You can still buy one (if ou weren't lucky enoough to get one free) at the link below.

We've seen two tokens emerge around Nouns:
$nouns directly tied to Nouns NFTs (with the option to exchange a Noun for 1 million tokens)
$nogs created by NNS labs , at first as "just" a community reward, given away for participation in Nouns DAO and some subDAOs, but after raising over 500 ETH & official token release it's market cap climbed to almost 30 million

Nouns Deli
Since opening its doors in February of this year, Nouns Deli represented Nouns via the tastiest web3 burgers, got covered by Broadsheet, collaborated with chimpers, Deadfellaz, Variety and many other partners and produced a mini series called Better Between Bread.
As we head into our final week of trade for the year, it feels like the perfect time to reflect on what has been a crazy and unforgettable year since we opened our doors on 1st February, 2024. In less than twelve months, we’ve welcomed over 45,000 guests through our doors.
Sunny Pires
Sunny swapped his surfboard for hiking shoes and planted a Nouns flag on top of a volcano in Nicaragua!
Sunny also starred in Sunny Boy a short film produced by NounsOTG, which was also released this year.
Nouns x Pengu
Following a proposal to create a Nouns x Pengu collectible in 2023 (which was also recently featured on Kai Cenat's livestream), the penguins officially joined Nouns DAO in 2024!
Delivery at Dawn
Nouns funded the creation of Delivery at Dawn, a short film celebrating EIP 4844, Ethereum L2s and all the ETH devs!
Taking over Rusutsu
During winter season 23/24, Nouns took over Rusutsu ski resort in Japan. More on AlpsDAO Twitter.
As art of prop 218 for @nounsdao we engaged the HEAD free ski team and legendary film/photo crew.

TNS & The Yellow Collective
The Noun Square launched The Yellow Collective, an onchain club on BASE designed to support and empower artists and creatives in and around Nouns. During the past year they ran countless contests and creative projects and successfully onboarded a ton of creative individuals!
