It makes it feel like the Foundation has been the main thing for Nouns and we need to find a new way to facilitate that action. Whereas I see the Foundation as a historic artifact. The proposers are calling this whole "turning Nouns into DUNA" thing a referendum, claiming it'll reshape the future of Nouns. But do they actually believe that? A proper referendum would have at least half of the eligible voters participating, right? We’ve got over 700 eligible votes, yet less than 100 are active, and even at peak, we barely hit 200. Has there been a broad, official announcement to the DAO members or a real call to action from the foundation? Are the objectives clear with the information provided? Has the foundation even attempted to communicate with the DAO outside of these one-sided announcements?

couldn’t agree more. the only thing i’d modulate is that Nouns as a charity is not an individual view of Nouns, but a vehicle to holistically align the incentives of builders, creatives, and financial contributors in facilitating the productive tension of subcultures and worldviews in Nouns looking at existing charitable organizations like the Sundance Institute, Code.org, the Videogames and Esports Foundation, and the MacArthur Foundation, (just to name a few,) it seems not only possible, but wise for Nouns to pursue charitable designation as a DUNA https://warpcast.com/noun40/0xfe676a51

@nounstown.eth week was a trip 🤯 really cool subcultures gathering @nounsesports @lilnouns @nounish @bigshotklim @sunnypires @nounsbr @publicnouns @basednouns and much more! We all have been part of this community for years now and it’s the first DAO event for the DAO. It was the first time most of us saw each other’s faces. We all have known each other’s voices and have been creating nounish stuff separately for a while, each on your own continent. It was a pleasure to be in LA and a blast to meet you all! new funding meta just dropped 👀 i’m very curious to see how this evolves. at a high level i think it’s much needed and very differentiated from the prop by prop yes/no majority voting since that’s governance energy intensive and isn’t a continuous stream of funding. with flows we can fund non consensus ideas (some money will start to be streamed to things only a minority is interested) and it can be for lower amount continuous funding needed things. i think this is good for plurality in nouns and also just lowering barrier to entry as a builder. it’s a pretty intricate thing so curious to see how it works in nouns and what new things get funded through this 🙌 https://warpcast.com/rocketman/0xf99af83a
