Continuous Improvement

Continuous improvement in any area eventually transforms the entire company's operations. The next task for a change leader is continuous improvement. Everything done within and outside the company should be improved constantly and continuously: product production processes, marketing, services, technologies, training and upgrading staff qualifications, and information services. Continuous improvement in any field eventually transforms the company's operations. However, continuous changes require making an important decision. What exactly can be considered "results" in this area? If we want to improve them, we first need to determine what this concept includes. For example, a large commercial bank decided to offer new, more advanced financial products to improve its branch performance. But after their introduction in branches, the bank quickly lost customers. Only then did the management find out that from the clients' point of view, improving the bank's branch operation meant reducing the time for current transactions. The bank addressed new financial products to different groups of people by directing each group to a separate service window with their specialization written in large letters. Once this was done, business sharply increased for both traditional and new services.

TIP OF THE DAY. Make continuous improvement a priority for yourself.
