Color is seen

Color is heard

Color expresses

Without mere sound or spoken word.

Red and blue

Black and white

Yellow and purple

Magenta and spice.

Colors on walls

On signs and in lights.

Colors on textiles

On the packaging of basic necessities in life.

Looking around

Peering here and there

The hues that surround

Impact the experience there.

Some things stand out

Are made to feel grand and bold.

Some things blend in

Softly muted, tenderly told.

Walking the path

Taking in what is seen

Observing the essence

Of the life and world around the.

How is color used?

How is color seen?

What is color’s purpose

The intention behind its presence in the scene?

These days as I walk

These days as I see

Of colors and their placement

I am aware, intentionally.

Color tells stories

Its saturation

Its fade.

Color tells stories

About life

An avenue for an experience to be portrayed.

As I live in this world

As I take in what I see

How can I further understand

The stories behind the colors around me?
