One moment held
No question.
No stress.
The next, out of reach
It is felt from the rest.
From one to the other
That time in between
How do we discern the process
That, through time, is seen?
Did our grasp loosen?
Did our hand become tired?
Did a distraction or illusion
Shift our focus
Our tension now retired.
Did a pull from elsewhere
From the other side of the being
Take over in the moment
What once was had
Is now unseen.
Was it, perhaps, intentional?
Our release of the grip
Or is the answer multi-dimensional
As we analyze the slip?
To have and to hold
To release and let go.
Two moments, mixed with many
Did we choose to let go?
