Prompting is hard. Storytelling is harder. While The Internet loves to pre-emptively celebrate the death of the entertainment industry. The reality is art is made by nuance.
As people rush to build products at the intersection of AI and Crypto it’s important to not only examine market opportunity but thoroughly identify and understand existing problems that can be resolved by AI.
One of the biggest elephants in the room is that AI is theft. We are not here to debate this point, but the truth is that reference, homage and re-interpretation are staples across all art forms. In the right hands AI could unlock innovation, serving as building block on top of the thousands of years of recorded culture and cultural movements that have preceded it.
Not everyone needs to create images and videos. However there are many career paths that rely on this output. The exponential rise of social media which has led to the birth of the “personal brand” has made content creation a requirement. For small, independent artists and brands, being able to keep up has lead not only to burnout but also to poor quality creative. One of the superpowers of AI is quality and efficiency.
With this new potential unleashed, do we accept mediocrity or do we champion and push for originality?
Our stance is the later, but we know that time is of the essence. Many creatives fear AI because they don’t have access to play with it. Sure you may have heard of Hugging Face and Replicate and (insert free image generator) here but many creatives don’t know where to start.
This coupled with prohibitive costs make it difficult for AI to provide a true creative process for artists. AI models are already turning into “style kits”. Imagine if every film in the world used the same lenses or every piece of clothing was made from the same material what a boring world it would be!
That’s where VPM comes in. We are multi modal allowing creatives to choose from a variety of models in their creations. We incorporate both image and video and have specific workflows in our roadmap to support musicians, filmmakers, designers, content creators, and more.
But our speciality is in efficient prompting. Built by creatives for creatives we understand the nuance of music genres and film styles, we understand the pre-production process and the tools creatives need to engage with audiences and the additional materials that could help support getting a seemingly complex project greenlit.
